AQUATIC FITNESS AND TONING
Grade Level: 9, 10, 11, 12 One Semester/.5 credit
Prerequisite: Personal Fitness or Instructor Approval
This course is designed for a student that is interested in participating in activities that will utilize the pool facilities on a daily basis. The goal of this course is to develop physical fitness through aquatics. Incorporated into this class are activities that will develop the necessary skills for stroke achievement, water safety, aerobic and anaerobic training for dry land and water, and aquatic games. The student will be assessed in a variety of ways that might include active daily participation, physical and written assessments, and goal development and attainment. This course is appropriate for students of all skill levels.
