FEMALE ATHLETIC TRAINING
Grade Level: 9, 10, 11, 12 One Semester/.5 credit
Prerequisite: Personal Fitness or Instructor Approval
This class is designed for the advanced female athlete that wants to participate in a class targeted toward the needs of their specific sport. The student will participate in a variety of fitness components that could include strength training, speed development, individual skill development, and cardiorespiratory training such as sprints and running drills. Emphasis is also placed on specialized weight training programs, injury rehabilitation and prevention, and health and nutrition as it relates to a healthy athlete.
