PERSONAL FITNESS
Grade Level: 9, 10 One Semester/.5 credit
Prerequisite: None
Personal Fitness is a course designed to develop a student’s knowledge, skills and the disposition necessary to become physically educated individuals by having the means to enjoy a lifetime of healthful physical activity. Some of the concepts that will be introduced
include personal conditioning, racquet and lifetime activities, team sports, aquatics and leisure activities. The students will be assessed in a variety of ways that might include physical and written tests, performance based assessments, writing and organizational
assignments, active participation in daily activities, and personal goal development and achievement. This course satisfies a student’s graduation requirement for their PE credit.
